Loch Lomond Accommodation and Weddings by Ben Lomond
Welcome to Blairvockie, where stunning Loch Lomond views meet the charm of a historic hill farm. Nestled at the foot of Ben Lomond within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, we offer unique accommodation and an enchanting wedding venue for couples looking to celebrate amidst breathtaking natural beauty.
Meet Your Hosts
Sue and Duncan, the heart and soul of Blairvockie, invite you to share their slice of Scottish paradise. Newlyweds themselves, they married on Hogmanay 2023. Their magical wedding on the farm inspired them to host weddings and create unforgettable memories for other couples.
Duncan grew up on nearby Cashel Farm before taking over Blairvockie 40 years ago. Sue and Duncan have nurtured this working farm, which spans over 2,000 acres, as part of the National Trust for Scotland’s Ben Lomond Estate. Their love for the land and its heritage shines through in everything they do.
A Rich Farming Heritage
Blairvockie has been a working farm for over four centuries. It is home to 1,500 sheep and the couple’s beloved Belted Galloway cattle, which they’ve raised for over 20 years. The farm’s historic charm extends to its accommodation: the cottage and bothy are over 350 years old and were once the original farmhouse. The ancient beech tree in the garden, older than the buildings themselves, is a silent witness to centuries of life and growth here.
Art, Music, and Special Moments
Duncan is a farmer and, for fun, an accomplished artist known for his watercolors of scenes from around the farm, including the Belted Galloways. Guests staying at Blairvockie may spot his paintings adorning the walls (see an example below). He’s also a talented fiddler, adding a touch of traditional Scottish culture to life on the farm.
Weddings with a View
In addition to Blairvockie’s stunning grounds, Sue and Duncan own Cashel Point on the shores of Loch Lomond, an idyllic wedding venue offering panoramic views of the loch. Whether you dream of a rustic farm wedding or a romantic ceremony by the water, Blairvockie and Cashel Point provide unforgettable settings for your special day.
The Perfect Escape
Whether you’re here to celebrate, explore, or unwind, Blairvockie offers a warm welcome and a unique connection to the history and beauty of the Loch Lomond area. And don’t forget to say hello to Cap, the farm dog, who’s always ready to greet guests with a wagging tail!
